BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROGRAM

The project is a collaboration amongst PCSO, the AFP and the PNP intended to improve the capabilities of our military and police medical facilities to enable them to provide quality health care services. This is part of the agency's commitment before the GCG. The participation of the DOH is essential in establishing the feasibility of the equipment being requested in terms of physical plant and qualified personnel complement to operate the equipment.

OBJECTIVE

To improve the capabilities of military and police medical facilities in providing quality health care services to its mandated and expanded clientele.

TARGET BENEFICIARIES

Military and Police personnel and their dependents, PCSO indigent patient-client referrals

  2. Hospital Profile which includes the following:
    • Authorized bed capacity
    • Bed occupancy rate
    • Alternate source of funding
    • Case mix
    • Manpower complement to use/operate the requested equipment 0Provision/availability of an appropriate space for the equipment to be functional ( electric load, sufficient water supply if needed)
    • Commitment of the hospital to fund an equipment maintenance program to sustain the operations/functionality of the requested equipment including future purchase of necessary reagents/supplies if applicable
    • Budgetary allocation for operation (cost per patient per day)
    • Statistical report
    • Cost Benefit Analysis
  3. Price quotations from three (3) suppliers of medical equipment with signature over printed name of the official representative of the dealer written on their official stationary
  4. Certification/Recommendation from the Department of Health for the upgrading of hospital facilities (purchase of medical equipment)
