PCSO - EXTENDING CHARITY, CHANCE AND HOPE TO EVERY FILIPINO
Filipinos, by nature, are a community of hopefuls. With the rate of how the economy is going, Filipinos engage themselves in the easiest way to add up to their funds. All they need are patience and lots of luck. For just as low as P10.00 per game, one has the chance to become a millionaire by simply picking a set of numbers to play on a number game of their choice.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office has been the constant charity arm of the Philippine government over the years. Aside from millions of Filipinos who have availed of the Individual Medical Assistance Request, more than a thousand hopefuls have been successful winners of Lotto jackpots.
One can choose from 8 different number games. Four of which are the Lotto 6/42, Mega Lotto 6/45, Super Lotto 6/49, and Grand Lotto 6/55 which produced 1,513 jackpot winners since 1995 and have distributed more than P26B in jackpot prizes. Among the four mentioned Lotto games, Lotto 6/42 was the first to enter the on-line gaming industry in 1995 and has the biggest turnout of jackpot winners at 772 with P8,733,498,531.96 as the Total Jackpot Payout.
Mega Lotto 6/45 holds the biggest total jackpot payout among the four mentioned Lotto games ever since it started in 1997. It produced 557 jackpot winners with a total jackpot payout of P10,150,360,877.71.
The newest addition to the on-line lottery family, the Grand Lotto 6/55, which started on April 19, 2010, has already produced one winner since it opened this year with the jackpot payout prize of P134,629,873.20.
With the new government and management, there is a promise of reaching greater heights. PCSO will continue to help Filipinos to overcome hurdles that will come their way by giving them hope while continuing to reach out to more needy Filipinos. *** mpa/pgpc
