The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Officials led by Chairman Jose Jorge E. Corpuz and General Manager Alexander F. Balutan attended the celebration of the 119th Philippine Navy Founding Anniversary on May 31, 2017 at Sasa Wharf, Sasa Davao City. With this year’s theme, ‘The Navy: Protecting the Seas, Securing Our Future,’ the Philippine Navy (PN) showcased its brand new Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) and three (3) Multipurpose Assault Crafts (MPACs) with missile provisions.
In support to the aim of the Philippine Navy to upgrade the capability of the Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) of Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) LD602, PCSO granted the request of the Philippine Navy for the procurement of the standard medical equipment as approved under Board Resolution No. 0098, series 2017 necessary in conducting limited medical operations and surgeries and treatment to patients during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) situations.
