The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is now strongly upholding Gender Sensitivity by conducting training seminar in cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) among its officials and employees.
PCSO’s Gender Sensitivity Training Seminar aims to understand more and take into account the societal and cultural factors involved in gender-based discrimination and exclusion not just in private life but also in the work place.
The four-day Gender Sensitivity Training Seminar was held at the Function Hall of Cross Winds Resort Suites, Tagaytay City on June 1-2 and June 23-24, 2017.
PCW GAD Resource Pool Member and GAD Practitioner Ms. Maricar R. Chan, expounded gender issues focusing mainly on instances on the disadvantages in the positions and roles of women in institutions, organizations, and offices.
The said training seminar added more consciousness on uplifting the value of practicing gender equality.
PCSO is committed to exercise equal professional opportunity for both men and women employees by giving a gender sensitive working environment. Furthermore, it calls for a pro-active form of gender awareness, so that everyone will be cautious that gender issues should not be overlooked, rather, should be addressed immediately.
