MANDALUYONG CITY, November 21, 2025. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) further strengthened its commitment to public health and emergency response by donating three units of Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to the municipalities of Bacolor, Pampanga, Magalang, Pampanga, and Bustos, Bulacan.

The ceremonial turnover was held at the PCSO Conservatory Building and was led by Charity Assistance Department Assistant General Manager Lauro Patiag.

The activity forms part of the agency’s Medical Transport Vehicle (MTV) Donation Program, a long-running initiative designed to support local government units in providing timely medical assistance, particularly to indigent patients in far-flung or underserved communities.

Mayors Eduardo Datu (Bacolor), Maria Lourdes Paras-Lacson (Magalang), and Francis Albert G. Juan (Bustos) personally received their municipalities’ respective ambulances. All three mayors expressed deep gratitude to the PCSO, emphasizing the importance of government support in strengthening local health care systems.

According to PCSO, the newly distributed PTVs will enable the recipient municipalities to improve emergency mobility, ensuring that patients—especially those with limited means—can be swiftly transported to the nearest hospitals or medical facilities during emergencies. The vehicles are equipped with basic medical and transport features that allow for safe and efficient conveyance of patients requiring immediate attention.

Patiag, in his message, reaffirmed PCSO’s mandate of uplifting communities through health-oriented programs. He stressed that every vehicle turned over becomes a direct instrument of public service, particularly in life-or-death situations where immediate medical response is crucial.

The turnover concluded with PCSO’s assurance of continued collaboration with LGUs nationwide, reinforcing its mission to bring essential services closer to Filipino families and communities that need them most.
