Under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) turned over ChariTimba food packs and safety preparedness kits to the Parañaque City local government unit (LGU) and the National Movement of Young Legislators Alumni Association, Inc. during a ceremony held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

Representing the Parañaque City LGU, Executive Assistant Patricia Paulina Romarate received 500 ChariTimba food packs, which will be distributed to identified beneficiaries in the city.
Meanwhile, the National Movement of Young Legislators Alumni Association, Inc., represented by Executive Director Miriam Mendoza-Luna together with Mary Alice Siquian-Rumbaoa, received 5,000 safety preparedness kits intended for distribution to communities affected by the recent eruption of Kanlaon Volcano.
The turnover reflects PCSO’s continuing commitment to provide timely and meaningful assistance to communities in need through its CSR initiatives, particularly by supporting local government units and partner organizations engaged in relief and community-based efforts.

In line with the observance of Women’s Month, the activity also underscored the importance of reaching women beneficiaries, many of whom serve as household heads and play a central role in caring for their families and managing their daily needs. Through the provision of ChariTimba food packs and safety preparedness kits, the assistance helps address immediate relief requirements, including food and other essential needs, especially during times of hardship and displacement.

Both recipient institutions expressed their gratitude to PCSO for its continued support and prompt response, noting that the assistance would help address the immediate needs of their beneficiaries and contribute to the welfare of the communities they serve.
