The local government of Nabas, Aklan received various medical equipment, preparedness kits, and rescue devices from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

 

PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles formally turned over the donations to Mayor James Solanoy during a ceremony held at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

 

Mayor Solanoy expressed his sincere gratitude for the assistance, which included 20 units each of wheelchairs, canes, nebulizers, walkers, blood pressure apparatus, glucometers, thermal scanners, pulse oximeters, crutches, handheld radios, life jackets, and rescue helmets. The municipality also received 10 units each of weighing scales, stretchers, oxygen tanks, searchlights, rescue ropes, and trauma bags. In addition, the local government received 150 safety preparedness kits.

 

The activity was initiated under PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which aims to strengthen the capacity of local government units in delivering healthcare services and enhancing disaster preparedness.
