

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) successfully distributed 150 hygiene kits to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) on May 28, 2026, at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan
The activity was led by PCSO Director Imelda Papin and Bulacan Branch Head Rolando Bugnot Jr. The initiative aimed to provide essential hygiene supplies to PDLs housed in both the male and female dormitories of the institution.
In her message, Director Papin emphasized PCSO’s continued commitment to delivering assistance and services to all Filipinos regardless of their life circumstances. She underscored that the government remains steadfast in supporting those in need and upholds equal concern for every citizen.

Meanwhile, Jail Superintendent Lord Rogelio Montero, Provincial Jail Administrator of Bulacan, expressed his sincere gratitude to the PCSO for the assistance provided. According to him, the hygiene kits will significantly contribute to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the facility, particularly for the welfare of the PDLs. JSupt Montero also conveyed his appreciation for the programs being implemented by the PCSO, noting that these initiatives continue to provide meaningful assistance to various sectors of society.
The distribution of hygiene kits forms part of the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program, which aims to extend assistance and essential services to communities, especially those most in need.
