A former seaman is starting a new chapter in life after winning the 20,167,956.53 jackpot prize in the Lotto 6/42 draw held on July 18, 2026.

The lucky bettor matched the winning combination 27-32-39-26-12-07, after purchasing the winning ticket at a Lotto outlet in Parañaque City. He personally claimed the jackpot prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Main Office in Mandaluyong City on July 20, 2026.

The winner shared that he had worked as a seaman for many years but has been unemployed for the past couple of years. Since then, his wife has been the family’s sole breadwinner while they continue supporting their children, who are still pursuing their studies.

A loyal Lotto player for 30 years, he 74never lost hope that he would one day win the jackpot.

The winner said he plans to use the prize wisely by setting aside funds for his children’s education, investing in a business to provide a stable source of income, and fulfilling his dream of buying a house and lot for his family.

The PCSO reminds all jackpot winners to sign the back of their winning ticket immediately and claim their prizes within one year from the date of the draw. In accordance with the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, jackpot prizes exceeding 10,000 are subject to a 20 percent final tax.
