Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office headed by Chairperson and Interim General Manager Anselmo Simeon P. Pinili together with the officials representing the Agency on Small Town Lottery (STL) and the upcoming procurement of its Lottery System, attended the congressional joint meeting of the Public Accounts and the Games and Amusements  Committees at the Speaker Yniquez Hall, South Wing Annex of the House of Representatives, Quezon City on June 11, 2019.

The Committee on Public Accounts Chairperson Hon. Rep. Danilo A. Suarez, and Committee on Games and Amusements Chairperson, Hon. Rep. Gus S. Tambunting carried over last session’s inquiry and agenda on the PCSO’s proposed resolution on matters of its credit collection on STL Agents, efficiency of payment, and the Agency’s sanctions on erring Authorized STL Agents (ASAs)

PCSO Officials swiftly answered the joint committees’ queries by presenting its newly improved/revised proposed Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of STL. The said proposed IRR will cover application, processes, credit and collection, sanctions and legal actions.

PCSO Accredited STL Agent Super Lucky Beagler, Inc. was invited to share/present before the committees its best practices on daily transactions/ operations in Negros Occidental.

On the inquiry of the committees on the matter of ASAs, perceived malicious transactions with PCSO Management regarding payments, the issue was quickly dismissed as it was explained and evidently cleared by the Agency.

On the next session of the joint committee meeting, the details on the PCSO’s proposed IRR on STL operations and solutions on how to improve its revenue augmentation to minimize government losses will be included in the agenda.
