In its continuing mission to uplift public health and safety nationwide, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated various medical assistive devices, rescue and medical supplies to the province of Zamboanga del Norte on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Governor Darel Uy personally received the donated items on behalf of the province during a turnover ceremony led by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles at the agency’s main office in Mandaluyong.   

GM Robles emphasized that the initiative is part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which aims to strengthen local healthcare and disaster response capabilities.

Among the donated items were 40 units each of blood pressure apparatus, nebulizers, glucometers, thermal scanners, and pulse oximeters, 20 units each of trauma bags, oxygen tanks, handheld radios, heavy-duty searchlights, rescue helmets, and life jackets,10 weighing scales and three wheelchairs.

 

Gov. Uy expressed his appreciation to PCSO for its continuous support, noting that the donation will significantly enhance the province’s capacity to respond to medical and emergency situations, especially in remote communities.

 

GM Robles further reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to transforming charity funds into meaningful assistance and services that directly benefit Filipinos in need.

Through initiatives like this, PCSO continues to uphold its mandate of providing timely medical and humanitarian aid to communities across the country.
